MacMP3Gain is an AppleScript Studio application which brings an Aqua GUI to the command line version of aacgain, a utility that performs statistical analysis to determine how loud the MP3/AAC file actually sounds to the human ear and performs lossless volume adjustments. MacMP3Gain is free and open source.
I started downloading podcasts to my Motorola e815 so that I can listen to them on the train. One problem I’m having is that the podcasts are not loud enough. MacMP3Gain makes it very easy for me to increase the volume of them before I upload them to my phone.
